Information

The former firing range, which was in use during the Second World War, is located in Cwm Graiglwyd above the town of Penmaenmawr.

Location of the near target (upper left). The stone-built rifle butts in front of the target metalwork has since been demolished.

Far target butts (B). The stone structure is protected by a mound of earth and from its safety targets would be raised and then lowered for scoring.

      • Interesting find Graham. WWII relics must litter the entire European countryside. Finding them, and labeling them really helps to keep their historic significance alive. Well done!
