A glimpse of the outside world – ‘Top College’, Bangor University. The Grade I listed Main Arts Building was opened in 1911 as the new premises of the then University College of North Wales, which since its foundation in 1884 had previously occupied the Penrhyn Arms Hotel, a former coaching inn.

I like the contrasting, delicate textures on the yellow arrow. Just shows, you can find beauty in the most banal places!

Your perspective, both in selected content to post and (regarding the last photo) view, is provocative. The first three iconic images are simple and can stand on their own as a theme, but then you throw in the view of the building and a whole new complexity takes place, challenging the viewer. Great post!

THAT BIG 5 at the top is the number of years since the occupants of the houses behind the car park last saw the sky when they looked out the window. shame. great pics – carbuncle of a building though.
