Information

These electric cranes used to transfer goods from the ships to the transit sheds used for short-term storage on the quayside.

M Shed, a new museum telling Bristol’s story, will open on 17th June in the 1950s transit shed behind the cranes on Prince’s Wharf. The building formerly housed the Bristol Industrial Museum (1974-2006) and has been extensively renovated as part of the new development.
