Information

Hafod-y-wern forest lies on the slopes of Moel Smytho and Moel Tryfan opposite the village of Betws Garmon. The northern half of the forest is owned by Natural Resources Wales (the body that subsumed Forestry Commission Wales). The southern section is privately owned and includes a crop of 24 hectares of 1988 Sitka spruce.
