Here in DK I could see just this sight – the solar eclipse through light cloud cover – just as well as with glasses (which was sold out in this country!)
We were quite lucky with the weather in North Wales. It was fairly clear at first but started clouding over close to the maximum eclipse. An IR filter on the lens was a good alternative to special glasses 😉

Thanks! That was thanks to the infrared filter. Started shooting in monochrome to avoid the red cast, but I was glad I then switched to colour 🙂
