  1. Another truly exquisite set of photos…that tree is so beautiful. I love the “Blondin Tower”…somehow in this shot you can feel the slow transformation of the features under the quotidian work of rain and wind. Masterful work 🙂

  2. ….there is such a sense of poignant power in these mountain-muscular quarries–a lonely, laboured, lingering potency–especially those lumbering chains, dripping now with Welsh mist as their Welshman’s sweat. It is as if you invite us into a haunting, glimpsing through the fog yet working souls, toiling entities, who, though physically long gone, cannot somehow completely leave. Your photographs are mystical yet so utterly human, Graham.

    • Many thanks for your meditative comments, Lance. Your words are much appreciated. I always feel that seeing relics of past endeavours, decaying as they may be, in their original locations provides a much more immediate connection to the past that any visit to a museum could provide.

  3. these are brilliant as always… you certainly have your unique way to capture a fascinating, mysterious, almost romantic atmosphere in such places that one would expect to be everything to the opposite… the raindrops on the ladder are beautiful!!
