They also have capybaras there, which are fun to watch, but unfortunately their enclosure was closed on this occasion.

What a treat, Graham! I love the blurred pheasant and who could resist those otters? The wet leaves look fresh…the dessert does, too, yummy!

I went there four years ago and to be honest I wasn’t too impressed. No otters – the enclosure was an overgrown mess and the excuse was that they had been taken away for breeding. The pancake I had was distinctly lacking in filling with barely a spoonful of cream and the coffee was strong, bitter and totally undrinkable. I love North Wales and have enjoyed visits to many places on my camping trips but I wouldn’t go back to the water gardens 😦

Sorry to hear of your experience, Eunice. I had been a couple of times before, so my expectations were not really in conflict with the reality.
