    • I was lucky to catch those two walkers nicely silhouetted at the end of that tunnel in a local slate quarry. And #11 is actually a former arsenic mine in the low hills just up from the end of my road…

      • Interesting! I guess that mine’s not a place you want kids to explore. So many things were/are mined and quarried from the ground in your part of the world…here, it’s seafood from the water and timber from the land, but happily no logging on this island anymore. And there are a few old mines around but I don’t think any of them yielded anything. Now we mine our LR catalogs…
