  1. Ooo, some luscious images here. The person in the middle of the middle photo makes quite a statement! Is that a whale skeleton at the end? I could look at the first and the last three for a very long time. Lovely!

    • Oooo, so glad you appreciated this series, Lynn. I had an inkling it might be your kind of thing πŸ˜‰

The ‘person’ in the middle is in fact part of a much wider statement – it is one of the statues (a likeness of the artist himself) of Antony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’

The ‘carcase’ at the end is that of one of two X-craft midget submarines left in the Firth of Forth after a post-war strafing trial. The wrecks are only accessible at low tide.

      • I figured you would know I would love these. How interesting to learn about the “person” in that one photograph. I’ll check your link. I looked up the sculpture and I love the concept – the tidal changes to the piece. Nice! (So silly that there was controversy because the likenesses were naked. Should we cover up some Old Masters?) I should know more about this artist. The way he affects and incorporates such large areas of land/sea with his pieces is really audacious!
Interesting about the sub skeleton, too. Thanks, my friend!
