The juxtaposition of the very old with the very modern is very interesting – very π

These are all so different and fabulous. That first one reminds me of The Borg cube! Resistance is futile!

You’re such an expert at photographing buildings. The first series is very cool, with the contrast between old and new. I love the way you can see through the glass. The second looks like a fun place to hang out. Those deep yellow accents (statue, pillows, sign, etc) are nice. The last distillery looks much more traditional. Love that door & clock!

Thanks so much, Lynn! All that glass & reflections were just calling out to be photographed π The second one had traditional buildings over the road (final shot in the series) but the modern part of the plant did indeed have that funky yellow Johnny Walker theme going on in its visitor centre. We almost had a proper tour round the final one – it was the most reasonably priced, but unfortunately the tours were sold out the day we were there. Not too much of a disappointment though – been on distillery tour many, many years ago, back in the days when they were all free, and in any case I am happy enough photographing them from the outside.
