Carnedd Dafydd – Douglas Boston Mk III, Z2186, 418 Squadron, 17 Oct 1942 (2)
A previous post featured a rather sorry remnant of the wreckage of the Douglas Boston (Z2186) that crashed on Carnedd Dafydd on 17 October 1942. Hywel Evans has very kindly provided photographs taken at the crash site in 1981, showing both wings and engines of the aircraft. This was before the site was cleared by the Boston Havoc Preservation Trust. |
