Information	This windmill in Gaerwen was bought by a group (or ‘union’) of Manchester businessmen in the mid 19th century. The rise of industrialised competition, however, brought about the general decline in windmills and the Union Mill closed in 1913, after which it fell into a state of disrepair. An application for consent to convert and extend the building for domestic use was made in 2009. The re-developed three-bedroom property (with unfinished kitchen and bathroom) is now on the market for around £350,000.
